A classic southern gothic novel in three parts with all the elements: A lifelong love story, deep family ties, strong religious beliefs, and enough supernatural interaction to capture your imagination. An epic love story between two consanguineous children, Jim and Bobbie, destined to meet at five years of age when Bobbie declares that she and Jim will wed some day. They soon meld together as one. As early teens they become subjects of a wager between the forces of ultimate good and evil, on the premise that their love could not survive the trials and tribulations they would be subjected to, causing them to deny their love for each other and thereby ending their trials and tribulations. If they manage to endure, their reward will be great. They face extreme conditions and survive with their love intact even after a lengthy separation. Bobbie is exceptionally talented in the field of music, gifted with an exemplary voice with perfect pitch. She also performs on the piano and harp. Jim's interests and abilities are in the arts with an abiding love of poetry. They are both quite exceptional and, in addition to their talents, possess certain abilities in mental telepathy. Jim and Bobbie start a business on a shoestring budget manufacturing a love potion. They become separated for a period of eight years and suffer great hardships from their nemesis, especially Bobbie. During this time Jim develops the business into an emerging company. Marriage follows soon after their reunion and they become quite wealthy. They support many charitable organizations, primarily a home for abused women called Sisters of Saint Josephine. Along with raising a family, they minister to others sharing their story of hardships and tribulations. Bobbie also travels performing concert tours. They both have strong Christian roots and beliefs which lead to being assailed by radical societal elements but they remain steadfast in their convictions. The premature demise of Bobbie leads Jim on an obsessive quest to be united with her in the hereafter. The story explores the age old concepts of good and evil, freewill, sin and redemption, our origins, the nature of God, and ultimately, the hereafter. Read more
